My recommendation for your adventure session? Make a day of it! There is so much to see and explore and with more time comes space to breathe, relax and just enjoy for both you and your dog. Also a huge plus: You will get your images in cool blue midday tones and romatic orange-red tones during sunrise or sunset.
But now to Puffles adventure in April 2025: We took the coghwheel train from Vitznau to Rigi Kaltbad to then hike to the most stunning view points on Mt. Rigi.
It was Puffles first time in snow and what can I say? She is a natural! She had so much fun rolling on the leftover snow fields especially because despite it being early spring it was quite warm. Luckily her pawrents packed enough water and snacks to cool down and refuel for the hike. We took our time to really enjoy the views over the Alps and lake Lucerne and sat down at several benches to just take it all in. And the evening did not disappoint either – we had a gorgeous sunset with deep orange and red colors.

The best seasons to visit Mt. Rigi
For hiking all year around. For photosessions Mt. Rigi is best between Mid September-early May. During summer most of the viewpoints are occupied by the grazing cows and fenced in. For snow sessions on Mt. Rigi I recommend December-March. Fall is absolutely stunning as well.
